Singers Looking for a Challenge
You enjoy singing
You can read music or at least follow it well
You can hold your voice part easily
You enjoy the challenge of singing unaccompanied
You have experience of singing with choral groups
You are looking for something different to the repertoire offered by a choral society or amateur operatic group
You would enjoy the challenge of singing two or three voices to a voice part
You want to explore the syncopated rhythms and close harmonies offered in jazz, swing and contemporary music.
You don't want the commitment of a weekly rehearsal
You don't necessarily want the performance element on a regular basis.
You just want to challenge yourself
What can you do?
You can have a voice assessment with Chris Hale if you feel you want to improve your singing technique
You can attend any of the workshops on offer through Voicefinders.
You can attend residential singing summer schools or singing activity holidays
You could join Singcopation - they only meet once every four to six weeks for a Saturday/Sunday workshop to explore jazz, swing, gospel and African......
Singcopation have started learning this song by the Kings Singers - are you up for the challenge?
and they also sing songs a cappella from the Great American Songbook.....
