From the Discovery Jazz series this song from around 1920 was used as part of our commemorative concert for World War 1. Starts in C major and moves to D flat major - very easy melody and harmony. Excellent for a beginner choir. Highest note is E flat. We will use it again as part of a Tin Pan Alley concert in Spring 2015, but otherwise it is available for hire.

In this arrangement most of the verses follow the same chord structure and voice leading. It is very achievable for a beginner choir with some interesting rhythms in the 2nd part which form an ostinato. Written in the key of E major, there are no key changes and highest note is an E in the soprano line.
Very popular with the choir, this was also a hit with the audience.

From the Motion picture "O Brother Where Art Thou", this is an Appalachian style gospel song which steadily builds up the part giving an option of a third part (top soprano) on the last chorus. Piano accompaniment moves from F major, to G major and finally to A flat . major. Can also be sung a cappella. Very achievable for beginner choirs.

This is a great Christmas song! Very good for community choirs with a bit of echo singing and some oohs and ahs going on in the second part. Two parts written in treble clef with piano accompaniment starting in C major and moving to D flat major. Highest note is generally E flat but with an optional top F at the end. We LOVED singing this, and it was a crowd pleaser. Highly recommended.
