A classic piece from the opera Nabucco by Verdi,  but one which most people will recognise and the audience will enjoy.

The choir really enjoyed singing this and it is very achievable because the majority of it is in unison with harmony only kicking in over the middle eleven bars. However at this point the sopranos also split which makes it a 5 part harmony. You will need a really good accompanist for this piece but it is so worthwhile.  Will do this again and again.

What a gorgeous piece from Fiddler on the Roof! Lovely Jewish type harmonies and melds beautifully into the Sabbath Prayer. Everyone enjoyed singing this and there is also an optional part for B flat clarinet.

Recommended.

Written for SSAB this piece then cheekily splits into 5 parts (sopranos split) on page 2! However, you can always do what we did and miss a part out! Changes key into 6 flats towards the end which takes the top sopranos up to a top G flat so we went to -3 on the digital piano to make it more comfortable. Optional top B flat at the end!!!

Hey, we still enjoyed singing this but we had to adapt it to suit. At the time we purchased it I had mostly tenors and few basses otherwise I might have chosen the SATB version. Still do-able and a great crowd pleaser.

A lovely piece of music for Christmas this has some gorgeous harmonies and is a beautiful melody. Splits into five parts occasionally (altos split) and lots of time changes but well worth the effort. Highly recommended for the more experienced choir, but our community choir worked on it all term (alongside other music) and rose to the challenge. It is a great favourite.
