Lovely piece by Gordon Sumner, aka Sting. Very popular with the choirs and has a lovely alto harmony and options for the men to sing alone, or could be solos. Some tricky rhythms in this piece in places but it didn't put us off! Accompanist part includes lots of arpeggios and semiquavers.
We love it!

From the musical "Aspects of Love" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this is another popular piece and very achievable. Four sharps with a change of key towards the end. Choir loves singing it, audience loves hearing it. A winner all round.

A fantastic piece but it will challenge you! Lots of syncopated rhythms in this to give it a real gospel feel. Splits into four parts with a solo over the top towards the end but you can always miss out one of the harmony parts. We had to work hard on this all term but the end result was amazing and choir and audience loved it. This version is on Youtube somewhere so if you want to hear it, ask me and I will e-mail you the link.
Would definitely do it again!

From the musical "Hair"! This piece actually splits into four parts occasionally and the top note for sopranos is a G. We needed to take this down -2 on the digital piano to make it more comfortable for the choir. It formed part of a "That's Entertainment" concert and sounded great but it was hard work for the harmony parts as they all wanted to sing along with the tune. Would still do it again though.
