At the time this seemed such a cheesey medley to sing, but the choir loved it and the audience just cheered! Brought back memories of all the old cowboy films and we had a great time yippee eye-o-ing through this! Features the men quite a bit but ladies come in with some straightforward triads singing "oooo ..... burning ring of fire" etc. Once the singers work out that they are just singing a third up from each other it all makes sense to them. Recommend this as a good sing for community choirs because you can easily adjust it. Yee hah!!

You need a really good pianist for this one  as there is a superb 13 bar solo section for the piano which is just pure jazz! Gorgeous arrangement, our accompanist loved playing this as much as we enjoyed singing it. Recommended for the intermediate choir though as there are some interesting jazz chords, syncopated rhythms and men need to keep a steady beat in a bm bm bm bm wah wah wah wah section. So worth doing. We will do this again and again. You can listen to this arrangement at www. sheetmusicplus.com

An old 40's number - syncopated rhythms and lazy delivery is needed for this one - very do-able with just a few little ba ba doo wows to make it interesting for the singers. We used this as part of a world war 2 concert but it would fit in anywhere really. Loved it! Key of F major. Highest note for sops is a D

A Beatles standard, this arrangement is listed as SAB but in reality splits into three parts in the treble on occasions. Key A major, timing changes throughout from 4/4 to 2/4, 3/8 and finally 5/8 on the "Sun, sun, sun, here it comes ..."

We are singing this for the first time this term so will report back next year!
